Rescue and Health:
Jon is up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick, heartworm prevention and he is microchipped. Jon was Rescued off of Craig's list by an acquaintance of one of our Volunteers. Our Volunteer placed him in our care so that we can find the Best home for this sweet Pup.
Behavior:
When Jon initially arrived in Rescue he was very shy and uncertain around the other dogs. It does take Jon some time to warm up to new people and different situations however it doesn't take Jon very long before he feels comfortable. Jon is a very active puppy, he does like to play extremely rough so he would need another dog to match his play style. Jon is good around cats but will chase so someone with experience in handling/training Puppies to acclimate to their cat would be necessary if the potential adopter has cats. Jon can be easily re-directed to play with toys and he is very treat motivated which makes training and learning fun for him. Jon is crate trained, housebroken, loves car rides. Would be a great companion for someone looking for a high energy German Shepherd. Breed Experience preferred.

All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, spayed and or neutered. Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior to final adoption.
