My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Momma and I'm asking if you would please foster or adopt me and my daughter Skittles. We are both very sweet, just a bit shy, and are very bonded to each other. In 2018 I was found in an apartment complex and gave birth to some kittens. I was so close to my little Skittles I didn't want to be separated from her, so we are still together!

A nice man took us to his retail store where we have been living until the end of last year (2023) when his store went out of business. Everyone who worked at the store tried to find us a new home but no one could. So the nice man said he would take us to his place only temporarily because he is not well and able to care for us. So one of the nice people from the store is coming to his house every two days to but out new food for us, clean our litter box and make sure we are ok. But we can't stay here much longer!

Everyone has been so nice to us but they said we have to leave, so we are looking for new nice people who will let us come live with them. Me and Skittles might hide at first and be slow to warm up to you - but don't worry, we are sweet girls and promise not to stay hidden too long. We hope our story touched you and that you will contact Stray Cat Alliance about us!

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
