Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beautiful Frankie is a stunning, Russian Blue mix with some Dilute Calico throughout her coat. She was a first-time Mama when we rescued her and four newborns in late September of 2022. Her litter was born in the backyard of an elderly woman's house - where the woman was feeding strays but not getting them fixed.
Frankie was a feral but I could tell, from the onset, that she wasn't a full feral... showing no signs of aggression... even allowing me to handle her suckling babies while she was nursing them. Soon she was allowing pets and scratches around her face and head.
Frankie and I co-raised her four babies and they've all been adopted into good, loving homes. Since then, she's been living in a tiny bathroom to continue working on her socialization. She's still on the timid side but the only place I've had to hold her is small room with a window above the shower.
It's time for her to live in a more normal, home environment... where she can play, run and look out windows!! She would do best in a home with at least one other, friendly cat/kitten. In her short span of life, she's already nurtured and helped raised other kittens who weren't hers.
PLEASE won't you consider giving opening up your heart and home to foster her for the holidays??? Or, better yet, consider adopting her? She'll do best in a home without young children and with at least one, young/youngish cat. She, ideally, would do best with a young cat(s) she can mother.
You'll find her full rescue journey chronicled in Photo Album #27 on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including updates on ALL our cats and kittens). *Be sure to check out her Adoption Video and fall in L-O-V-E!!
Frankie's adoption will include her:
* Spay surgery,
* De-worming,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution),
* and Micro chipping!
~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~
* Please only contact us if you'll be making her a permanent member of your household and will be keeping her safe indoors.
** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!
*** You can also find all our adoptables on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including their rescue story, photos and video updates).
Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!
