My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Quick Facts:
Age: 1.5 years (born June 28, 2022)
Size: 70lbs
Breed: Purebred German Shepherd

-==============================================

Lovo came to the rescue at 5 months old after he suddenly lost all movement in his back legs and was set to be euthanized. Lovo has been with us for over the past year, and through the tireless work of his foster mom, he has made amazing strides. Lovo has also been recently diagnosed with Addison's disease.

While Lovo is still unable to walk, he does use a wheelchair, and you will see that cute, rambunctious puppy come out! He loves Balls. Squeaky toys. Squeaky balls. Just the Squeaky if you let him. Playing with dogs. Wheelchair walks. Getting the mail. Due to his medical condition, he does have accidents from time to time.

He loves other dogs but doesn’t realize how big he is. Lovo also would love to chase and play with cats, but thankfully, he cannot.

Lovo is also your on-call fake guard dog… He barks but is a giant baby… sometimes even a rotten baby. One of his fun tricks is spilling his water just for funsie. He actually picks up the bowl and pours it on himself. He thinks he is the funniest dog since AirBud and Marley (Marley and me).

Special Needs:
He does have a sensitive tummy and requires prescription food. He will need daily prednisone and monthly shots at a vet's office. He currently goes to physical therapy, and continued physical therapy is expected of his future family.

Lovo is a truly amazing dog with so much heart, but not for the faint of heart. He will require that very special and patient family.
