My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** COURTESY POST **

** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them **

** For information contact Sabina at munizsabina@gmail.com **

Pancho was born in Mexico and adopted almost 2 years ago. He likes to be indoors in a comfortable dog bed. He prefers to be pampered and have his haircuts and baths done by a professional. Pancho likes to chase birds and squirrels. He prefers to have a home with adults only as he is a little nervous. He's a boy that will need a human with patience with him. He gets in the car on his own and behaves well with strangers and other dogs.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. FRAs was founded in 2004 by 4 volunteers who wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter. Our organization has grown to over 300 volunteers, and with this growth, we now support two municipal shelters -- Rowlett, TX and Garland, TX – and operate our own cat rescue program.

Our mission is to provide resources, programs and education to promote adoption and care of homeless pets in our community. FRAs’ vision is a world where every companion animal has a safe and loving forever home. We are a 100% all volunteer run organization, and our ability to help homeless animals depends on donations from the community and grant funding.

Our organizational programs include operating the volunteer program for both shelters, providing funding for heartworm treatments and emergency medical care, accepting cats from the shelter and citizens into our foster-based cat rescue, supporting TNR/SNR efforts for community cats and most recently funding dog transport initiatives. Our volunteers spend thousands of hours socializing and marketing the animals for adoption, which increases the number of animals with a positive outcome. FRAs has helped countless pets avoid euthanasia, find their forever homes and live longer, healthier lives.
