My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amy is such a cheerful and playful girl. She’s full of fun and play! She loves it if you’ll throw a ball for her…she won’t actually pick it up, but it tends to kick start some zoomies for her. She can be a bit overzealous sometimes – like if you’re making her wait for a treat – but it’s all in good fun. She really loves her treats! She already knows how to sit on command for one, but her excitement won’t let her hold it for too long. Amy’s such a good girl, and easy to handle on leash. She’s also very friendly with people, and prone to making silly faces for pictures! Amy has gotten along well with other dogs in a previous short term foster home and loves having play mates!

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.
