Meet Onyx, a young soul with a heart full of love. Playfulness is second nature to Onyx, he enjoys games with his fellow canine friends. But he doesn't do well with cats, they look too much like the toys he enjoys playing with. Being part Lab and Greyhound means he is active and smart! He picks up commands with ease and always eager to learn more. Onyx may look familiar as he was adopted out last year, but his previous home didn't work out. It was no fault of his own, so he is ready for a new home. At 2 years old he still has a lot of love to give! He does have a bit of anxiety, due to coming back to LPHS, so he would do great in a home where his people are there a lot! Adopt Onyx and let his love light up your life. And even better, Onyx is sponsored... which means a kind citizen has paid his adoption fee!

Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet through the Laramie Peak Humane Society. LPHS strives to provide a hassle free adoption process that provides every adopter and potential pet with the best experience possible. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please submit a complete Adoption Application as soon as possible. Your application must include 2-3 references, and your veterinarians contact information. Once received, your application will be processed, references will be checked, and a home visit (excluding cats) will be scheduled at your earliest convenience.
Please note: The adoption process consists of three steps:
1. Complete Adoption Application Submitted
2. References Checked
3. Successful Home Visit completed (excluding cats)
The adoption process takes 24-72 hours to complete. Applications continue to be accepted, and an animal remains “available” until an adoption is finalized. Animals are placed after all 3 steps are successfully completed.
It is our policy to spay or neuter any dog that is old enough for our vets to alter.
Dog adoption fees are $125 for puppies (under 1), $100 for adults, and $30 for Senior dogs (8+). Dogs come microchipped, vaccinated, and altered.
It is our policy to spay or neuter any cat that is old enough for our vets to alter.
Cat adoption fees are$75 for kittens (under 1), $60 for adults, and $15 for Senior cats (11+). All of our cats are required to be indoor cats, unless otherwise specified.
