My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for an affectionate dog? A dog who truly appreciates every kind gesture he receives? Then you HAVE to meet Harrison! Harrison is a charming canine with a bit of mystery surrounding his past. He arrived emaciated and filthy, showing he hasn't had the love and care every pet deserves. But, despite a tough start, Harrison's spirit is shining through. During his bath at the shelter, he proved to be a very good boy, enjoying all the attention and affection from the staff. His appreciation for these simple moments of care highlights his resilience and willingness to embrace the positive experiences that come his way. This sweet dog ended up in the shelter as a stray with his friend Billy. We don't know much about their journey together, but if you're looking for two joyful pets, adopting both of them could bring double the happiness to your home.

Having endured less than stellar care, Harrison is eager to experience the spoils of a loving home. His playful energy and love for toys reflect his optimism that the best is yet to come. As Harrison learns what genuine love is, his gratitude will shine through in every tail wag and snuggle. Now, he's looking for someone special to be part of his journey-someone who can bring love and healing into his life. Will you be his hero?

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
