Hey there, I'm Delgado!
I’m an adventure-loving and treat-obsessed pup looking for my forever family! If you’re searching for a fun, high-energy companion, I might just be your guy. I’m proud to say I’m fully housebroken, crate trained, and totally trustworthy when left out on my own (I promise not to chew on your favorite shoes!).

I get along great with other dogs and absolutely adore kids of all ages, so if you have little humans who want a new best friend, I’m all in! But, just so you know, I’m not the biggest fan of cats—I prefer to stick to my fellow pups.

I’m a pro at walking on a leash and love hopping into the car for a ride (let’s go on a road trip, maybe?). When it’s playtime, I’m all in—I’m treat-motivated, so I’m always ready to learn new tricks and have some fun.

At the end of a busy day, I’m happy to curl up in my crate next to my human's bed and dream about our next adventure. If you’re looking for a playful, loyal, and treat-loving pup, I’m ready to be your new best friend. Let’s make some memories together!

GHGSDR holds Meet and Greets @ several Petco stores in the Houston area each month, usually from 1pm to 4pm. Check our homepage for locations and dates.

On our homepage we list the names of the dogs that are expected to be at the event - check 1 or 2 days before the event.

More about this rescue

GHGSDR volunteers are dedicated to saving as many German Shepherds in the Greater Houston Metro area as humanly possible - based on current resources of available foster homes, the rate at which we can find suitably matched adoptive homes, and of course, financial resources for veterinary care.

GHGSDR Shepherds mostly come from animal shelters where they are awaiting euthanasia. All of these Shepherd Dogs need loving, forever homes and families to call their own. We have several GSDs available for adoption and we regularly take in more Shepherds under our wings and into our Rescue Program, increasing the numbers of dogs available for adoption. Whenever we can, we also work with other dog rescue groups in Texas and nationwide to help ensure the safety and security of these wonderful animals.
