Meet Chester! Born around January 2023, this endearing boy weighs about 55 pounds, putting him firmly in “pocket Pyr” territory.
We found him lying in the middle of the road and took him to a shelter where he was never reclaimed. We couldn’t resist welcoming him to SPIN!
He is best friends with Kayso who is also available for adoption. They play together in the back yard for hours. They eat together and cuddle together. If you are interested adopting pair that are a great match, these two are it.
Chester is one of a kind, just like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. And that’s not all he has in common with the character, as he is very “bouncy!” He likes to jump and play, and is very sweet to his people.
Chester also likes to fetch, a very uncommon trait in a Pyrenees. He is very food motivated, and is more trainable than the average Pyr. He quickly learned sit and kennel training.
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
