Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miss Poppy was brought to us by some nice ladies that found her running along side of the highway. Thank goodness they saved her, she could have been seriously injured or even killed. We are so happy Poppy was saved, despite her hard beginning to life, she deserves a home of her own.
Poppy is a beautiful blue pup, who is about year old. She's just a baby 1-2 years old At the shelter, which admittedly isn't the best gauge of behavior - she doesn't like other dogs or cats. So we would like to place her in a home with no kids and no other animals.
Poppy is 1-2 and around 40-50 lbs. Give her a chance. To set her up for success from the get go, we recommend some training. She is very smart and would take to training quickly with a professional. She is funny. She always has something in her mouth like a leaf or whatever she can find.

More about this rescue
The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
