Well hey there, I'm Max! I'm so super friendly guy, always looking for a good time! I love to run around and play with toys, it's my favorite pastime. During my time at the shelter, I've made many friends here, both human and canine. But what I truly yearn for is a family of my own. A home where I can share my boundless love and playful energy. It's okay if you have other animals, I've reportedly done well with both felines and canines. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will always be there to greet you with a wagging tail and a friendly bark, then I'm your guy. Adopt me and let's start our journey together.

Additional adoption info
Adoption applicants must complete a screening form as the first step towards adopting a pet. Your application will be verified by staff who will explain the next step in your adoption process. All adoption criteria must be met before the adoption is approved. Once approved, you are under no obligation to complete the adoption if you change your mind.
Pets are placed in the best possible home if there is more than one application pending. We cannot place a hold, or accept a deposit, on a pet. Adopters may legally only adopt 2 pets within a 30 day period.
We can, and do, adopt to out-of-area homes given the applicant has physically interacted with the pet. We will not ship a pet.
How to Find a Good Match:

Please ask for assistance at the front desk, we’re more than happy to help you find a good match! As an open admission animal shelter, we accept any pet who comes through our doors regardless of breed, temperament, color, size, health, age, adoptability, or their previous owner’s or finder’s ability to pay for the duration of their stay with us. We do not require an appointment, surrender fee, nor a pre-surrender behavioral assessment. While not every pet we receive is healthy or temperamentally sound, we work with foster homes, limited admission “no kill” rescues, breed-specific rescues, and knowledgeable volunteers and adopters to ensure that as many pets as possible find a home. See our website rhspca.org for more information about us, and to see our list of available pets that is updated in real-time.
