Hi - my name is Casper. I’m a male 1-year-old, 11-lb. possible chihuahua and dachshund mix (some people call that a chiweenie, though I look more on the chi side). After a short time to warm up to you, I’ll be your best friend and shadow. I love cozy blankets, and playing with my toys and rubber chicken. I’m working very hard on my potty training and leash walking and I’m getting really good at both. As long as I am taken out often, I will go potty outside. I can't hold it through the night just yet though and will need to wear a belly band.

I'm a medium-energy kinda guy, and I’d do best in a home with dogs who are on the calmer side, but I’d love all of your attention if I’m an only dog. If the home has kids, I would do best with older children, since young kids make me nervous. I’m also nervous around new things, but with love and patience, I quickly learn to not be afraid. I’m a happy, sweet boy when I’m given just a little time to get to know you. For my young age, I’m a calm and relaxed dog and I actually don’t bark all that much. I do well in a crate, have almost mastered "sit" command and have learned recall, and do fine riding in a car.
