My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Inky was originally found in Pataskala by a Good Samaritan who took him in during a cold spell because he was so friendly. He was adopted through our rescue almost a year ago and unfortunately was returned through no fault of his own, due to housing issues. Inky doesn't know a stranger, is instantly friendly and just wants to be near people. He is an affectionate boy, and would make a great pet for any age. He has excellent house manners:) He is about 1 1/2 years old, and a big boy at almost 10 pounds! Inky has a $100 adoption fee.

All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Kittens are spayed/neutered no later than 4 months of age or upon intake if older than that.

If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org. We make no breed guarantees, as we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific cat if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins.

Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

More about this rescue

We are a central Ohio rescue, with the hopes of rehoming animals in need, helping those with medical needs that would otherwise be euthanized, and supporting local TNR efforts to reduce the numbers of unwanted/homeless animals being born.
