Hi! My name is Sunny and I am available for adoption. I was brought in by my owner on September 26, 2024 because they were moving out of state.
I`m a fun loving, friendly and happy boy! While I`ve been at RASKC, I`ve been going to playgroup with other dogs and I absolutely love it. I`ve only played with other medium size dogs, but I bet I could get along with just about anyone. I`m pretty easy going when I`m in a kennel, I spend a lot of time lazing around so I probably have a good `off switch.` I`m looking forward to summer and hope I can spend it being the light of my new familys life!
I weigh 62.0 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.
I can get excited and bouncy when the energy around me gets high so I would probably do best in a home with older children. I tend to be a bit overly interested in cats and may do best in a home without small animals or a home that`s willing to take introductions very slow.
I went into a foster home and this is what they said about me: Meet Sunny, a sweet and loving guy, with the most stunning eyes and big heart. He is around three years old and 62lbs and would be happy to be your lap dog if you let him. He is a total snuggle bug and gives big kisses once he warms up to new people.
Sunny is house trained and hasn`t had any accidents inside while in his foster home. He is crate trained and does great in his crate at night and while alone for short periods.
Sunny absolutely loves his toys! His favorites are his cheese-stuffed Kong, and stuffed animals (the super strong ones, because he can CHEW!) His toys are important, as he has an active mind and needs plenty of mental and physical stimulation.
He is a smart boy, learning new things every day. He has mastered `sit`, `shake` and `down`. He is working on his recall and working on his leash manners. He likes treats and takes them very gently.
Sunny is a bit too interested in small animals like rabbits, birds, and squirrels, and wants to chase them. So, a home without smaller animals is best.
He is a large and goofy pup that sometimes forgets how big he is, so a home without small children would be best.
This snuggle bug just wants to please his people and be loved. He cannot wait to find his forever home and be your ray of sunshine!
