My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable.

If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application.

The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. Additional adoption info

To adopt a pet from FFRR you must be at least 21 and submit an adoption application We contact references listed on your application. If you rent or live with another person, we must speak to your landlord or roomate to confirm that you have permission to have the pet you are applying for. We may also need to conduct a home visit to make sure the accommodations for the pet you are interested in are suitable. We do not allow any adopted pets to live on chains or any other tethering devices. Once approved you must complete a contract and pay the adoption fee. The majority of the pets are in TN and we only list them in the northern states at the transport meeting locations due to the low volume of dogs in the northern states

You can check out all the pets we have for adoption on our FB page at https://www.facebook.com/mcbfunnyfarmrescue/ or on our website at funnyfarmrescueranch.org
There is NOT a shelter to visit the pets.
Once your application is approved you will be put in contact with the foster parent to make sure it is a perfect match for both you and the pet. Most of these pets are still in foster homes in TN and will not travel north until their adoptions are finalized.
Please visit our website at funnyfarmrescueranch.org to read all about our rescue and why we list our pets for adoption in the north and how the whole process works.

More about this rescue

Funny Farm Rescue Ranch is a non-profit, 501c3, all volunteer agency chartered by the State of TN. We take in pets that are unwanted, abandoned, abused, neglected, homeless or otherwise in need. We are not a shelter and do not have a shelter in NJ or any other northern state. Each of our pets is in a home with a volunteer foster parent and only leaves the foster home in TN to go to their "forever" home once they are fully vetted. Our goal is to reduce the pet overpopulation problem through spay/neuter, adoption and education.
