Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Dolly Parton is a 5-year-old feline with a big personality and even bigger demands - after all, she's a queen! This delightful diva loves to spend her days climbing cat trees, rolling around in catnip, and chasing laser pointers. She's playful, independent, and knows exactly what she wants from life - a calm, adult-only household where she can reign supreme as the one and only royal of the castle.
Dolly may not be fond of other animals or noisy children, and that's because she prefers to have her space, her peace, and the full attention of her human. If you're someone who understands the value of a queen's privacy, Dolly is the cat for you. In return for a little respect and a quiet home, Dolly will reward you with her loyalty, charm, and plenty of playful moments.
Sadly, Dolly has been overlooked for adoption, but she's still patiently waiting for her forever home where she can shine. She may be sassy, but underneath that attitude is a sweet, loving companion who'll give you her full affection when she feels comfortable. If you're looking for a cat with personality, who will keep you entertained and adored, Dolly Parton is ready to show you what it means to be treated like royalty!
Dolly Parton's adoption fee has been generously sponsored by Perry's Pump Repair LLC.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of North Central Florida was created in 2018 when the leadership of the Alachua County Humane Society, Gainesville Pet Rescue, and Helping Hands Pet Rescue decided to permanently join forces. By becoming the Humane Society of North Central Florida, our organizations were able to effectively streamline services for pets and pet owners, eliminate any duplication of services, maximize our community’s resources, and improve the life-saving abilities of the entire region.
Our founding organizations have been dedicated to serving pets in Alachua County for more than 40 years. The Humane Society of North Central Florida is a limited intake, no-kill animal rescue shelter. The animals in our facility are transferred from open-intake and/or managed admission municipal shelters across North Central Florida. The Humane Society of North Central Florida is an independent, local 501(c)(3) organization. As such, we do not receive funding from federal agencies, nor are we affiliated with any other state or national organizations such as the Humane Society of the United States or the ASPCA.
