My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our adoption process can be found on our website here: www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/process
Estimated birth date: 12/2/23
Personality: Energetic, Funny, Hesitant, Nervous, Quiet, Very shy (you are unable to touch this animal without it running away or being fearful, etc)
Favorite treats: Died fruit
Current Diet: 50/50 Mix Essentials Hamster & Gerbil Food and Mazuri Rat & Mouse Diet
Favorite toys and activities: Her wheel! and making new burrows under her hides.
Potty trained: No
This animal’s daily routine: Crocs is very sleepy in the day. She gets more energetic at night, which is also when she comes out for playtime. She runs on her wheel all night, so a silent spinner is a must if she's going to share a bedroom with her human(s)!
BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): No, this animal prefers to live alone.
Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: cats through her cage walls - indifferent
Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? None
Health concerns: None.
Behavioral concerns: Crocs was very skeptical of humans and was not ready to trust us yet. She got defensive (but NOT aggressive) when we say hi to her in her cage and try to offer treats, but usually she'll realized when a treat is being offered and will take it happily. She was not a fan of being picked up or held, even if with using the transport box method. We're worked on slowly building her trust and encouraging her to be brave. For this, we had placed her in our trust training program to become comfortable with people and she has since GRADUATED!

Other notes: Crocs is a long-haired Syrian hamster. She is beautiful! Crocs is a cute little fluffball that is such a joy to watch in her cage! Her little fur tufts add to her personality. She has a silly habit of waking up on her back with belly up, so her expressions when she slowly wakes up are so amusing and will surely make you laugh!
Crocs came to MNPPR as a part of an unplanned litter.
