Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Chato (Spanish for Shortie). I love being a family man and love playing tug of war and chase with my doggy siblings. I'm a typical JRT pup. I love and am protective of my family and home and am wary of strangers at my home. I'm very social with dogs at the parks but need time to warm up to their moms and dads. I'm still working on my house training but doing really good. I like to follow my mommy around the house and she crates me when she is away so that I don't get into any puppy trouble.
WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.
If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.
Adoption fee of $340 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.
We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.
Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.
