My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pearl was found in a parking garage where she had been for a few days. She was taking shelter from the cold rain, and we believe she was dumped. Pearl is a toughie who surived an injury to her ear and one of her eyes but she is all healed now. She is the is the SWEETEST! Pearl is a bit shy when you first meet her but she is loving and cuddly once she gets to know you.

She needs a lot of physical activity but is also the BIGGEST cuddle bug! She thinks she's a lap dog and we just let her think that because she's too cute

She was absolutely terrified upon first finding her but she's adjusting amazingly. She just needs a little bit of time to open up and then becomes the goofiest sweet baby. Pearl is crate AND leash trained!

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. They are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $300 to $350 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $350 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.

More about this rescue

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
