My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Princess, the reigning champion of cuteness and cuddles! This black pitbull with a heart of gold is on a mission to find her forever kingdom, and she's ready to steal your heart in the process. Princess is not your average doggo. She's got style, she's got grace, and she's got a lovebug personality! But that's not all—Princess has a need for speed and a love for adventure. When it comes to car rides, she's always ready to ride shotgun like a true road trip warrior. Princess is a social butterfly who thrives on human interaction. She's outgoing, happy, and has enough love to brighten even the gloomiest of days. She's the kind of pup who will remind you that life is better with a wagging tail and a sloppy kiss.

While Princess is a playful gal, she kindly requests a home without cats. Princess would love a pack of her own with friends to rumble and tumble with. Or if you're a single pringle that likes to be active she will be right  there with you!

So, if you're ready to welcome a royal addition to your family, Princess is eagerly waiting to meet you! Head over to codysfriendsrescue.org and submit your adoption or foster application today. Don't miss your chance to live happily ever after with this fabulous, four-legged princess. Get ready for a lifetime of tail wags, belly rubs, and endless love!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. They are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $300 to $350 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $350 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.

More about this rescue

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................
