My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Famous Amos is looking for a special woman-only home to call his own. Amos has lived in many places and has met several new faces in his lifetime. He is very friendly and can be very cuddly with his people, but is somewhat picky about the company he keeps. We don’t know his full story, so it’s hard to say why he feels less at ease with some people more than others. If he likes you, he absolutely adores you. We know it may take some time, but we’re hopeful his person is out there just waiting to find him!

We think if Amos could talk, he’d say he’d like a fenced yard to explore or an uncrowded walking route – one where he wouldn’t have to interact with strangers passing close by, and a safe home space without much commotion or change. He would likely thrive most in a single lady's home with no other pets, but all experienced applicants will be considered so don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re interested. Amos is currently at a boarding/training facility in Aiken, SC, so you and any dog(s) in your home would have to go there to meet him. While he's been there, he’s been a friend to all. His forever family must reside in South Carolina or a surrounding state.

The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.
