My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Freyja is purebred Doberman (bred in Lynchburg, VA- unsure of breeder). A typical "Velcro dog," she will follow you everywhere. Intensely smart, she picks up on training after only a few repetitions. She will benefit from continued obedience training and probably skill training in time (like scentwork, agility, etc); she seems to really enjoy having a job. Freyja is VERY high-energy and needs an active household, ideally with an owner that works from home. She needs frequent walks through the week and loves hiking on the weekend. She has a high prey drive though, so she needs a home with NO cats or barnyard animals. She has had limited exposure to other dogs - our other dog is a 12 lb dachshund, who she gets along with just fine, and she plays with the neighbors' dog through the fence. She is fine with older kids but as an extremely playful 70# dog, she would do best in a home with no small children.
