Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Coming soon… Adira! Many of you have been following Adira's story. Adira (or Addy!) is ready for her furever home. After a rough start in life, Addy is almost fully recovered from her surgery for her broken leg and ready to rock and roll in her new home.
Addy is approximately 5 ½ months old and all energetic Aussie puppy. She is a boss lady in the making - full of take charge and let's get stuff done. Addy is crate trained and almost housetrained. She is learning basic obedience by leaps and bounds. She knows sit, stay, leave it, shake and down. She is learning get off, off and come. Recall is a work in process!
Addy is a friendly pup and very confident. She loves other dogs, is learning about cats, and gravitates toward children. She will need continued socialization to continue on her path to a well adjusted pup. Addy is very energetic and is not a 'leave in the backyard' kind of dog. She will do best in a home that prioritizes training, (classes will be best), and she is a great candidate for Agility or scent work. Addy needs an owner who is Aussie savvy. She does have a prey drive and is very interested in keeping your yard bird and squirrel free. While she can be a bit mouthy, she is gentle and is not a nipping herder. Speaking about being mouthy, she is a talker - she talks when she is happy and has conversations with neighborhood dogs.
Addy will do best in a home where someone works from home (or hybrid). Her perfect family will continue her training using positive reinforcement, continue her socialization and include her as their adventure buddy. Another tolerant dog for company would be very welcome. Addy is not spayed yet, so a commitment to have her spayed will be critical. Addy is located in Falls Church, VA.
Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application
There is an additional $50 spay deposit that will be refunded upon proof of procedure and a $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family.
All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
