My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you thought you’d never encounter an Orca in the desert, think again! Like the majestic creature she’s named after, our Orca is highly intelligent, and social- she’d love to be part of your pod! And unlike an actual orca, our Orca thrives in captivity- a home of her very own! In fact, Orca prefers captivity to the wild- she was on her own for a bit and came to the shelter with a broken leg. It’s dangerous out there!!

Orca spent about a month in a foster home where she was housebroken and liked to sleep near her foster person at night. She also loves to be part of the neighborhood watch, keeping an eye on things from the front window. Orca loves to play fetch with her soft toys and was described by her foster as affectionate, eager to please, very trainable, and treat motivated.

Orca has been sweet and friendly with everyone she’s met at the shelter. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Paddle on over to PACC and ask to meet Orca today!
