My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This cutie is Frankie!

Franky is believed to be approximately 6-8 years old. Little Franky found himself at a high risk kill shelter for unknown reasons and CRT scooped him up. Franky has a white coat with tan highlights, tan ears, and an adorable underbite.

Franky is a happy little guy whose tail is always wagging. He absolutely loves to go for walks and is perfectly leash trained. He's also happy to lounge in the sun, on his own or with others, in a fenced yard. He's very smart and had already figured out which door to go to and how to signal that he needs to go out within an hour of being in his foster home! He's a champion snuggler and will be happy to spend hours cuddled up with his person. He'll fluff up his blanket and settle in for as long as you want. He likes to play with toys and can amuse himself or play fetch with you. He also likes to go for car rides.

Franky seems to like all people and dogs in general, but we’re recommending a one person home, preferably a female, as he gets very clingy with his human. It would be best for him to be adopted by someone who is an experienced chi owner. He’s not a big fan of cats and we’d recommend a feline-free home. It is also recommended that Franky go to a home that does not have young children since any unintentional rough handling may be outside of his comfort zone.

Franky was recently neutered and received a dental cleaning. Franky is heartworm positive and currently receiving treatment for this, which is covered by CRT. For this reason, he will be considered “foster to adopt” until his heartworm test comes back negative. That should not deter anyone from choosing this awesome pup - he'll be a wonderful companion for life!

This adorable and sweet boy has come a long way since coming into foster care. His foster family is enamored with him, as are his two chi foster sisters. He's happy and healthy and ready for his forever home.

His adoption donation is $300.00.

If you are interested in the above dog, please do not email us and tell us that you are interested, but submit an adoption application. The link for the application is below.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in one of our dogs, please submit an application.

We require an adoption application, reference checks and home visit before adoption.

We also require that all current pets be UTD on shots, on HW preventative and spayed/neutered. Adoption fee is $250.00 for Chi's over 1 year of age and $300 for Chi's under 1 year of age. Other adoption listings are priced as is.

We do not set up a meet-n-greet with a dog without an approved application and a completed home visit. The process starts with an application on line and when the application and references have been checked, a home visit is required. After the HV report has been reviewed by our board, a meet-n-greet will be set up.
