Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I`m Broski. I may look a little rough around the edges, but I`m a friendly boy, always ready to share a purr or a cuddle. I`m known for my sweet disposition, and I`m quite sociable too. I enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like a good nap in a cozy corner, or a gentle stroke from a kind hand. I`m quite the conversationalist, if you`re into that sort of thing. But what I truly desire is a forever home, where I can share my love and companionship.
Something you need to know about me is that I am FIV+ which is an immune compromising virus. Regular vet care is essential for me and with proper management FIV+ cats will live long, healthy, happy lives. I do have potential to live with a cat savvy dog with proper introductions as well as a calm quiet cat savvy cat that I can co exist with.

Please take a moment to review our Adoption Policy prior to applying to adopt a pet.

CHS accepts multiple applications on each animal, we are not first come first serve. Our team of adoption counselors will help matchmake every individual pet and family to ensure the best fit for all.

Must be 21 to adopt with a valid driver's license or state ID card.

We ask all members of the household to meet the new pet, some pets require multiple visits to build necessary relationships.

To align with our mission of solving the homeless pet crisis, all household pets must be spayed and neutered, up to date on necessary vaccinations, and live in the same household as the adopter. If not currently established with a veterinarian, a vet deposit will be required.

Cats and dogs adopted from CHS are indoor only.

Every pet is an individual, and many have individual needs such as : post adoption training (included with adoption), multiple meet and greets to feel comfortable, medical needs, etc. Our adoption counselors will communicate these needs with all interested families.

CHS will not begin adoption process with an individual when:

A person is reasonably believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Landlord or residence does not allow pets, or the living situation does not accommodate consistency for the pet (e.g. student housing, four unrelated adults living together, ect.)

Applications may be denied for any reason, including but not limited to an individual failing to comply with conditions of past adoption.

About CHS:
Cherryland Humane Society is a no-kill, nonprofit 501 C3 organization dependent upon donations, fund raising activities, estates, planned giving, memorials, and grants.

All of our animals are kept up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered and microchipped. We have a steady volunteer base that comes in every day to walk, socialize, train, or groom our animals.
