Bonded pair ChiChi and Gary. Gary is a male Blue Heeler mix medium sized 27# born in April 2023 on one of the reservations we work with. ChiChi is a female Kelpie/Heeler mix 29# born in March 2023 on the same reservation as Gary. This duo is a bonded pair, we will not adopt them separately. They love to play and run, they are active but also like their sleep time ;-) They love treats, Gary loves to run around the yard during playtime with a toy in his mouth. ChiChi and Gary play together and they love other dogs. ChiChi will at first be afraid of dogs bigger than her. they are not leash trained, they are smart. As with heelers/cattledogs/kelpie, they are a bit shy with people at first and once they warm up they are loyal and affectionate.
This pair is not for apartment living. They'd do best in a home with a medium/small backyard. They both came into the rescue from the reservation with injuries which have since completely healed, thankfully:-) They are crate trained, good with cats and dogs, kids over 10. They might enjoy agility type fun.
Their adoption fee includes their spaying/neutering, vaccines, deworming and microchip. * You must live in our adoptable area (Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, White Rock, Los Alamos areas of New Mexico) and
* Please, no children under the age of ten. If you are searching elsewhere for a dog/shopping please let us know this.
