My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Tiger King!

Not your average monarch, but a majestic Pitbull mix with a heart as strong as his name! This handsome 6-year-old weighs in at a sturdy 52 pounds, making him the perfect balance of strength and snuggles.
Tiger King is a bit of an introvert at first, taking his time to warm up to new canine friends. But once he does, you`ll witness a bond like no other. Tiger King spent some time in a foster home and was a delightful addition to their home! He was potty trained, smart as a whip, and did well with another dog in the home. He was a wonderful walking companion and didn`t bother anyone else outside, as long as he had some good smells, that`s all he cared about!

This royal canine is looking for a kingdom to call his own, where he can reign as your loyal companion. Tiger King doesn`t seem to enjoy his feline companions, so he needs a home with no cats.
While Tiger King prefers a more mature audience, he`s an absolute delight for families with children over 10-13 years old.

Ready to add a touch of royalty to your life? Call 330-487-0333 ext 226 and make Tiger King the monarch of your heart and home.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.

We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.

Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.
