Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I’m Posey, and to say I’m overwhelmed by shelter life is an understatement.
For over a year, I’ve curled up in this same spot, making myself as small as possible, hoping that if I stay still enough, maybe the world won’t feel so scary. I watch other cats come and go, bravely stepping forward when people visit. I wish I could be like them, but I’ve never known how to be bold.
But just because I’m quiet doesn’t mean I don’t have a heart full of love. I long for a home where I don’t have to hide, where a kind and patient human will sit beside me, letting me take my time to feel safe. I don’t need much — just a little understanding, a cozy corner to call my own, and maybe even a feline friend to comfort me.
Could you be the one to help a timid soul like me blossom with the gift of a loving home? If you think we’re meant to be, please reach out to the shelter or visit to apply — you welcoming me into your family would change my life forever.
Posey has spent most of her life so far at the SPCA. She would thrive in a quiet home with adults and a cat companion. Due to her shy nature, she requires a home without small children or dogs.
