Ritchie is an Australian Kelpie mix. He is about 40-50 lbs.

Ritchie came to us from Bibb County Animal Control. He's a lover! He can be shy with new people, but typically loves the ladies. Debbie, who walks him frequently says that he's just perfect. He's adorable, loves to give kisses and if she didn't already have a house full, would scoop him up!

He gets along with girl dogs more than boys. We told you he loves the ladies! Ritchie loves to go on long walks so if you like to go hiking or even just go for a morning walk he is the dog for you. Ritchie is up to date on Vaccinations. Has been neutered.

Go meet their pets

Visit us (by appointment only) at our physical location in Blairsville, GA 30512. Please e-mail us your contact info. and which pet you are interested in. We will happily arrange a meeting with that pet.

We also hold adoptions most Saturdays from 10-4 at the Alpharetta Petsmart. It is located across from the North Point Mall. Also Petco in Milton/Alpharetta. Please e-mail us for specific dates and locations. Not all pets at our shelter are at the adoption event. If you would like to see a certain pet at an event, e-mail us and let us know which one you are interested in.

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
