Meet Missy Lou Who!

Missy can be described in one word "Sweetness. She loves life. She's very active and will help you get your 10k steps!

She loves people! Missy is a really good dog who found herself homeless through no fault of her own like most dogs in shelters. She deserves to find a home that will spoil her. She came in with her brother and got a home quickly. Missy has been here a long time, through no fault of her own.

She will need time to decompress from being at the shelter so long. She is active but knows how to calm down and cuddle. If you are having a bad day, she will cheer you up.
Come meet her and let her put a smile on your face. She's a special one. Fenced yard recommended. She can be protective once in the home so training would be a great idea to set her up for success.

Missy is 3-4 and is about 40 to 50lbs. Missy is a Hound & Black Mouth Cur Mix
She is such a loving dog she loves to give hugs and kisses.
She is up to date on all vaccinations and has been spayed.

Go meet their pets

Visit us (by appointment only) at our physical location in Blairsville, GA 30512. Please e-mail us your contact info. and which pet you are interested in. We will happily arrange a meeting with that pet.

We also hold adoptions most Saturdays from 10-4 at the Alpharetta Petsmart. It is located across from the North Point Mall. Also Petco in Milton/Alpharetta. Please e-mail us for specific dates and locations. Not all pets at our shelter are at the adoption event. If you would like to see a certain pet at an event, e-mail us and let us know which one you are interested in.

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
