Meet Thor

Thor is a gorgeous boy. He was rescued from a high kill animal control right before he was going to be euthanized. Thor had heartworms, but Castoff Pet Rescue treated him and he is healthy and ready for a loving home!

Thor is great with everyone! He is a loving guy who, who wants to cuddle and play. He is housebroken, fully vetted and a great size! We "use" Thor to see how other dogs react because he is such a pro.

Thor has good manners and is always in the office at CPR as our office dog because he's so good and he's easy to spoil. He loves a car ride and gets super excited to meet people. He especially loves a pup cup. He is food aggressive and care should be taken. Only experienced dog handlers should apply for Thor.

***Thor can be kennel reactive with some dogs AND some people. On the other hand he becomes very attached to some people and some animals. Care should be taken placing him but in right environment and with right person, he would do well.

Thor is a ready for a loving home of his own!

Go meet their pets

Visit us (by appointment only) at our physical location in Blairsville, GA 30512. Please e-mail us your contact info. and which pet you are interested in. We will happily arrange a meeting with that pet.

We also hold adoptions most Saturdays from 10-4 at the Alpharetta Petsmart. It is located across from the North Point Mall. Also Petco in Milton/Alpharetta. Please e-mail us for specific dates and locations. Not all pets at our shelter are at the adoption event. If you would like to see a certain pet at an event, e-mail us and let us know which one you are interested in.

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
