Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet petite Sweet Pea. She is about 7 years old and until recently had lived most of her life outside. She was first found as a tiny kitten along with her brother Prince Charming under someone’s pool deck. She was spayed at an appropriate age but continued to live an outside life with the neighborhood helping to feed her and some other cats. Several months ago someone new moved in and decided to bring her inside along with her brother and another cat Boots (both are also on Petfinder). Since then she has realized the comforts of indoor living where all her needs can be met. She occasionally thinks she needs to go outside but in a new home, an adopter needs to commit to never let her outside.
Sweet Pea received her name because she is extra sweet and very precious. Her foster mom described her as a “permanent kitten” because of her petite frame and absolute “sweetness” and “cuteness.” Sweet Pea loves her brother (Prince Charming) and would love to go to a new home with him if someone is willing to adopt two cats. If she does get adopted separately from him, she will appreciate having another friendly, laid back cat brother or sister in the home because she is always wanting the other cats to groom her. She is timid about approaching the other cats but will just lay down next to them hoping they will let her sleep by them touching side by side.
Sweet Pea loves to knead on a soft blanket. She will appreciate a good scratching board or post to keep her from scratching things you don’t want to be scratched and with good training, she can be redirected from furniture. Sweet Pea loves to play and particularly is great at chasing a laser light and anything that is dangling. She may be a little shy with strangers initially but it won’t take long at all for her to accept pets and cuddles. She loves sitting with or on her family members and she will definitely want to sleep near you at night if you will let her.
Her foster mom says she comes every time she is called and is almost like a dog with how much she wants to be near and please her human family member. She’s a fan of Temptations treats and comes running when she hears someone shaking the bag. She will do best in a home with only older children or adults and no dogs but a home with another friendly, laid back cat and a proper introduction should be a good match.
Do you have room in your home and heart for Sweet Pea and maybe even her brother/litter mate Prince Charming? Two cats are always better than one.
