My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dennis is an extremely sweet and loveable bunny. He was obtained from a breeding program by the founder for a special needs school. She had originally bought two rabbits, but one died so she decided to drop Dennis off at the school in a small cage with no directions on who or how to care for him.  One of the employees, who is a wonderful person, stepped up to care for him. She took him out of the small cage and allowed him to free roam her office. She socialized him, litter trained him and even was the one who named him. He's named Dennis because he was a Menace and would sneak into her lunchbox and steal apples. Unfortunately, her office was taken away and given to somebody else, so he is now living in a bathroom at the school with no window to even look out of. He has become very lonely and so the wonderful human got permission to reach out to us for help. We arranged for his neuter and first vaccine and the good human brought him to her home as he healed. It was there she discovered how much he loves cats. He even started to use the cats' automatic litter box!

Additional adoption info

Please note that all information submitted by the applicant will be kept confidential and only used to approve or deny the adoption of a bunny(ies) and serve as part of the adoption record.

Clover Hop Bunny Friends is with you every step of the way when adopting your new bunny companion. Our adoption process makes certain the bunny you adopt is the right match for you and your family and that you know how to properly care for your bunny before you head home. Both Pre and Post-adoption we are always available for any questions, concerns or advice you may need. With the proper care and attention, house rabbits can live to be around 10-12 years old.

After we review your application we will contact you and ask you any additional questions we may have and give you the opportunity to have all your questions answered.

The next step is to setup an appointment for you to meet the bunny(ies) you are interested in adopting. We request that everyone in the household be present for this appointment so that we can make sure the bunny(ies) is the right match for the whole family. We also want to make sure there are no hidden bunny allergies among the household members.

If you are adopting a bunny to be a friend to another bunny(ies) you will be asked to bring this bunny(ies) as well so that we can make the introductions and bond the bunnies. Bonding can be dangerous and can end with bad injuries if not done properly.

If all works out, you will be asked to sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption donation fee and go through a rabbit care and safety lesson. You will then be ready to take your new friend home.

Clover Hop Bunny Friends adopts to indoor only homes and adoptions are intended to be permanent for the life of the bunny. You are not to surrender the bunny to any shelter, give the bunny away or sell the bunny. If a situation comes up that you believe hinders you from keeping your bunny, then you must contact Clover Hop Bunny Friends so that we can help you work through it or if absolutely necessary make arrangements for the bunny to come back to us.

Clover Hop Bunny Friends strives to make the adoption process as seamless and as enjoyable as possible. We are excited to be able to assist you in your search of a bunny companion.
