Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Mr. Belvedere is a handsome young lab mix with a sparkling personality. If you like labs, you will LOVE Mr. B!
Mr. Belvedere and his littermates were found at around four weeks of age. Thankfully, fosters bottle fed and cared for them until they were big enough to come back to the shelter. Now, it's just Mr. Belvedere and one littermate, Pugly, left over. They don't understand why their littermates all got to home but they're still stuck here, spending their entire puppyhood inside a kennel. Sure, they get to make friends and have lots of people who give them affection all day long, but it's just not the same as having a home and family of their own.
Having just celebrated his first birthday -- and having spent over 11 months at FFAA -- Mr. Belvedere wants desperately to find freedom and a family of his own.
Mr. Belvedere has adopted a policy of "holler first, investigate second"-- his big, booming "awoowoowooooo" seems ridiculous coming from a dog his size, and even more ridiculous is how once he's in touching distance of whatever he is yelling at, he quiets up immediately.
Having grown up in a shelter, Mr. Belvedere is chronically bored. He loves his walks (his best opportunity to go stick hunting), and he is having a great time making new friends during playgroup. But he's a smart boy who knows that the world is a lot bigger than what he can see in front of him at the shelter.
All his littermates but one (Pugly) have gone on to find wonderful homes with other dogs, cats, and children in their lives. All Mr. B needs is one chance to show you how good of a best friend he can be.
