My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**ADOPTION FEE FULLY SPONSORED

Pugly joined the FFAA family with 5 other littermates at the tender age of 4 weeks. He had been found orphaned in a shed and had to be bottle fed!

Now a healthy, strong, and energetic young dog who just had his first birthday at the shelter, he deserves to finally be chosen and have a home and family of his own. He's been here for over 365 days - almost his ENTIRE life save the first 2 months.

Pugly is a black lab mix, and just like most black labs, he is full of bouncy and exuberant energy. Compound this with the eternal frustration and boredom of living in a kennel environment while you grow up, and you get a dog who has an explosive burst of excitement at the chance of getting to escape his kennel! However, especially lately as he ages and matures, Pugly runs out of steam in about 10-15 minutes (shorter if someone is playing fetch with him), making us think that once he is in a stable environment with regular attention and exercise, he will be a reasonably calm and pleasant family dog.

He loves going on walks with volunteers, and he LOVES fetch and making new human friends. Kennel staff do our best to make Pugly's life the best that it can be no matter how long his stay lasts. However, we can all tell that he is eager to go out and explore the big wide world beyond the shelter -- the zest with which he lives and breathes ensures that every second that he will get to spend outside the 4 walls of his kennel or his short playtimes outside will be relished with a reckless and blissful abandon.

Pugly is asking for one chance to make a connection with you and show you all of the potential that his eager and loving soul contains. Will you give him that chance?

More about this shelter

Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, Inc is a non-profit organization committed to helping our community become a place where animals are treated with kindness and respect. Further, we want to be a voice for the welfare of animals in our community through various avenues.

We fulfill these goals by taking in homeless and vulnerable animals, rehabilitating, vetting, and preparing them for their future home, and ensuring that they are a good fit for those interested. Our goal is longevity - we are thorough when approving applications because we want their next home to be forever.

Our pledge to the animals under our charge knows no time limits. Our no-kill mission means that as long as it takes, we will keep searching for their perfect home. And if during that search, they need to rejoin our care, we welcome them with open arms no matter how long it has been.

People
From our paid staff to volunteers that support us at events and throughout the week, the dedicated and passionate community members that are involved in FFAA's mission are what keep us going. We always welcome new faces! If you are interested or know someone who would like to support our efforts, please contact us. We could not do it without our foster families, dog walkers, kennel cleaners, puppy and kitten socializers, event organizers, artists, chefs - everything we do is a group effort and thanks to the time and effort given freely and faithfully year after year.
