Mozzarella is a 5 year old big, beautiful boy that is so deserving of a whole new life! He was found last summer in such a sad, sickly state. He's had lots of good medical care and he's looking and feeling like brand new now! He does have hypothyroidism which he'll need meds for indefinitely, but it's a small price to pay to have big Mozz in your life! The better Mozzarella felt, the more he began showing us who he really was, and who Mozzarella is is a big, playful, goofy puppy in a grown dog's body! He loves toys and zooming around and getting ridiculous. He needed some help with playing politely and now that he's receiving training, he's doing fantastic! He'll need an experienced home though, where he will continue following the rules. Mozz is a loving, sweet, affectionate dog. He loves people however, he's not a fan of other pets. We require a completed adoption application which can be obtained at our facility, or from our website: www.ahscares.org. We also require proof of home ownership if you own, or a copy of a lease stating that pets are allowed with no restrictions if you rent. We require vet records for any pets owned in the last five years as well. Our adoption fees vary based on age, breed, etc. Please call our facility for exact fee 609-693-1900.

Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
