Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looks like: Large Breed Supermutt
Male, 8 years old (estimated), 63 pounds
As his name suggests, Spuds can be a bit of a couch potato. But also just like potatoes, we'd be hard-pressed to find someone who didn't immediately love Spuds! This handsome boy has never met a "stranger"; his foster home has been under construction and he greets every tradesperson like an old friend. Power tools, ladders, and chaos? No problem. Amazingly mellow with the occasional pep in his step and infinitely adaptable, Spuds could make a seamless transition into almost any home. He loves his leisurely walks and is a super sniffer.
Spuds would do great as an only child or in a house with other dogs, large or small. He has done well with absolutely everyone he's met - young and old, riding a bike or in a wheelchair, you name it - Spuds is unflappable. He does have stiff joints and takes supplements for maximum comfort. Some extra attention to making sure he gets handled gently will help, too. He needs a boost to get into high places like cars and long flights of stairs are not in his future. He has met a few cats in the neighborhood and a home with cats may be a possibility with proper intros and management. He is hard of hearing, which doesn't cause him even a moment of distress. He is a very quiet boy, snoring gently from time to time and barking only on the very rare occasion.
This loveable, low maintenance guy came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after being found as a stray.
