Adopted!
No Phone Calls. If interested in adopting, please fill out an application by going to charlottecockerrescue.org to download and save our application. Email your filled out application back to us to be approved. We will review it and return calls.
We have already had two applications from senior owners. They have met her and passed on her because she is active and busy. She was too much for them. Her ideal home will be with an active, middle-aged couple with older kids who can play with her, spend quality time with her and make sure she gets her exercise.
Meet Lady, a 10-month-old, spayed Cavy-Cocker Spaniel girl. She is an owner give up from a lady who worked at home and had to move into an apartment. Lady barks some so she didn't keep her as it would disturb the neighbors. This said, no condos, apartments or townhomes. And no dog doors or invisible fencing. A single-family home with a fenced yard will be perfect for her. She is heart worm negative and updated on vet care. She is crate trained and as long as you can let her out often to do her business outside, she should be okay. She is a dominant dog and should only be with older kids.
Lady is a good girl. A home with a middle aged, active couple will work best as she will be a lot for a senior owner to handle. She needs a lot of exercise, a fenced yard and no young kids. She does not like playful dogs but can be with a calm dog who will not try to dominate her. She weighs about 21 pounds right now but could possibly gain more weight as she gets older.
