My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hector is the most handsome guy in search of a home with his extra pouty lower lip that's begging to be kissed. He's affectionately referred to as "Hecky by the all-female( a true Casanova ) volunteers who walk him regularly. Although he's living his best, happiest life with all his lady friends, he needs a home of his own. Hecky's heart can be won by trips to the park and car rides. You don't even need an end destination. He just likes going along for the ride even if it's a trip around the block. One of his more heart-melting habits is jumping into the front seat and resting his head on your shoulder while you drive. Aside from loving car rides and the park, he also loves his people. As soon as he sees someone he loves, his eyes light up and it's like he won the lottery. If you want to feel like you've won the lottery every time you come home from work, apply for Hecky. You won't regret it.

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
