My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ace is a 1yo 17lb terrier mix. He’s older kid friendly, but needs a calm home. He’s house and crate trained. He loves running around a secure fenced yard. He’s playful, energetic so needs work on his puppy manners. He needs warm up time for new people and again training since he still has puppy ways. He needs bones or things to chew so not to chew on his people’s things. He needs work on his training, but is said to take correction well so is a good learner.

Ace’s foster requires people with no other dogs, along with people who can give him leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. He has been in boarding with one of our trainers who will continue to give you guidance on his needs. If your home is DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Ace is neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Woodstown, NJ. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

How can I Adopt a Tiny Dog?
When you are ready to adopt a new friend, we will ask you to complete our friendly screening process, which ensures a successful and safe adoption.

Complete an Adoption Application
We will have a brief conversation with you to find out about your daily schedule, determine your preferences and needs, and talk about your previous experience with pets.
We will check two personal references who know how you are with animals.
If applicable, we will call your veterinarian to ensure that previous pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and well cared for.
For renters, we will check with your landlord to ensure that dogs are permitted.
Lastly, we will do a home check. We will arrange a visit with the dog and your family including all animals in your home, typically at your home. This is a great opportunity for you to get valuable input on how to integrate your new pet into your home. If we agree it is a mutually good fit, you will sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee and take the new dog into your home.

This process typically takes a few days and then you are ready to take your new friend home.
