My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zuko has been hanging out on a porch since last summerr (July 2023) and is showing signs he's over this sad life and anxious for a family or person to call his own. He is seeking someone who likes conversation (he's quite chatty) and wants the companionship of a large furry fellow (all 14 lbs of him!). He's described as frisky and friendly yet still learning how to best engage humans since he was abandoned outside. Zuko has been cared for and fully vetted by kind people who already have their own indoor kitties, so while he's received regular meals, winter is looming and he spends a lot of his day yelling and gazing longingly through their windows. He's been observed playing with sticks and leaves that move across the porch, and since the vet estimated his age at only 2 years old, he still has a lot of spunk and playfulness. Always happy to show affection by rubbing against legs and hands, he's still a bit unsure of sudden movements. Fully vetted and healthy, Zuko would need someone willing to give him time to acclimate and adjust but we feel he will bond strongly with the right people and make a wonderful companion!
