My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gus is our beautiful phantom standard poodle who is 5 ½ years old and weighs 67lbs. He is microchipped, has been neutered, and is fully vaccinated.

Gus is a fun loving and very affectionate dog, he loves walks and is great on a leash although he might do a few happy jumps when he sees another dog walking by. He doesn’t mind the groomers and behaves very well; he needs to be groomed about 4 times a year. Gus loves other dogs and loves running around our backyard playing with our children’s dogs when they come to visit. Gus loves to be petted and could sit beside you or half lie on you and be petted for a long time.

He is a super loyal dog, loves car rides and always wants to be near someone in the family and to be a part of what’s going on. Gus is friendly to new people and doesn’t jump, he just gives a few welcome barks.

When Gus is sleeping he doesn’t like to be woken up by pats or nudges, so we give him clear oral commands when we want him to move.

Gus has only lived in a home with adult children and was never around infants or small children. We became grandparents last February and unfortunately Gus has become excited and reactive around our granddaughter. I will be babysitting her at our home soon and therefore this is why we sadly need to find another forever home for our Gus.

Gus would be a wonderful loyal and companion to a home where he has a place to go outside and where there are no children.
