My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our adoption process can be found on our website here:
https://www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/process

Estimated birth date: 12/1/20

Personality: Chatty, Curious, Friendly toward humans, Friendly toward other animals, Funny, Inquisitive, Nervous, Sweet, Slightly shy

Favorite treats: There are very few treats that Guacamole will not eat! Alfalfa based pellets, most fruits & veggies, and pea flakes

Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Adult Guinea Pig Food, Fruit, Veggies, Leafy Greens, Western Timothy Hay, Tiny Friends Farm Gerty Guinea Pig Scrummies ( We are trying to transition away from the Tiny Friends food)

Favorite toys and activities: Guacamole likes to explore! He's very curious, and a little bit nosy at times. He loves eating almost anything, taking naps in, and eating big piles of hay. He enjoys treat-dispensing toys and chewing on a good ole paper bag.

Potty trained: Not really, but he tends to do most of his business in his hay boxes/areas.

This animal’s daily routine: Typically the routine is pellets right away in the morning, then enrichment, free-roam time, and veggies in the evening, .

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Guacamole recently lost his cage mate and is now searching for a buddy.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Guacamole has met a cat and dog, and was curious about both, getting nose to nose and sniffing them.

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Yes, in small doses, he doesn't seem to mind them, but is fairly shy to most people.

Health concerns: None

Behavioral concerns: None

Other Notes: Guacamole is a very handsome guinea pig, and is such a silly little guy. He often makes quiet exploring/curious squeaks, and always seems to want to know what you're doing. He is a bit shy, as most guinea pigs are, but can be brave at times, too! He is excellent at using his very cute looks to beg for more treats and veggies.

Guacamole came to MNPPR when his previous owner was no longer able to provide attention.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at PetSmart in St Louis Park at 5640 Cedar Lake Rd S, Minneapolis, MN 55416.

Fee: Guacamole has an adoption fee of $35.

We absolutely DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS! Please do not ask.

Guacamole's care while in rescue has not yet been sponsored. If you would like to donate to provide veterinary care, food, bedding, and enrichment for Guacamole or other pocket pets in the care of MNPPR, please visit https://www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/sponsor-a-pocket-pet for more information.
