Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lilly, a beautiful long-haired brown and white cat with adorable white paws and chin. Born in April 2014, Lilly has a charming personality that suggests she was once a super sweet and spoiled feline. Unfortunately, her previous owner passed away, and Lilly is now adjusting to the shelter environment.
Lilly is generally friendly with people, but there may be instances of swatting if she is touched in a way she doesn't appreciate. Given her preferences, we recommend a home without other cats, small kids, or dogs. Despite her initial hesitations, Lilly has the potential to become a wonderful companion for someone who understands and respects her boundaries. She is spayed and current on vaccines; also tested negative for Feline Leukemia, FIV and Heartworm disease. Currently being treated for liver disease.

Additional adoption info
We require an in-person application for all dogs and cats. A home visit will be required for larger dogs, who require a fenced in yard. Our animals are only adopted out after they have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Our adoption fees are $80 for cats and $110+ for dogs. Puppies are $130. Cash, check, credit or debit card are all accepted. Sometimes the fee will be higher for a dog, if it is a purebred. We would like to keep our adoptions local; in the event the adoption does not work out, the animal must come back to us. Adopters must sign an agreement to this effect. We do consider out of state adopters, please phone us before coming. We are a private shelter run mostly by volunteers. Please be patient if we take a little time to respond. Volunteers check emails and respond to phone calls.
Those adopting a cat must bring a carrier to transport the cat home safely.
