Smalls came to Catering to Cats and Dog with his brother, Biggie, after being found on the side of the road. They were both covered in scars and underweight. Just by looking at them, you could tell they hadn’t been cared for and were desperately searching for a new start.
Smalls is very athletic and an ideal hiking partner/running buddy! Smalls will do anything for food. He likes going for walks/adventuring outside. Smalls enjoys hanging out with his people and being kept busy. He also has some fantastic tricks… like being an escape artist. Yeah, we love that talent too (urg!). He will need a tall, sturdy fence that he won’t be able to climb or jump over.
He has done very well with his two female foster siblings. He has tested well with other male dogs while out on walks and will try to play. Smalls should be separated from other dogs when fed or chewing a rawhide. You see, these are Smalls’ favorite things in life, and would be upset if another dog got too close or tried to take it away from him.
Overall, Smalls is a loving yet mischievous little lad. He exemplifies the meaning of a pocket pittie; he’s a small little man (hence the name) with a big, loving personality.
