Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Charlie Jack was previously my mother's dog and I took him in when she passed away. He is 6 years old as of this year (2024). He's incredibly loving, outgoing, and energetic but has bad anxiety and requires a lot of interaction. Sometimes he is defensive towards other animals at first but warms up to them over time. My brother had a Great Pyrenees and they were best friends. Charlie doesn't have any major medical issues but he does have allergies that require he eats grain-free food. I currently have him on prescription food that would need to be continued. Also, he does have some food aggression that I've been working with him to improve. For example, I'm able to hand him treats with an open palm.
I'm looking to rehome him because I've realized that I cannot keep up with giving him the attention he deserves. He either needs a much more active family OR at least a companion dog to help him get pent up energy out.
