Richard is a young male Khaki Campbell rescued from abandonment at a pond. He is a healthy guy that loves other ducks, and would be so happy with a flock of ladies to call his own! He would also do great in a bachelor flock with other males.

WHY SHOULD YOU ADOPT A DRAKE? 🦆
✨ He will make your ladies feel safe!
✨ He will chaperone them and provide moral support during nesting and laying!
✨ He will help you herd your ladies to bed at night!
✨ He won't have any reproductive/egg-related health issues to worry about!
✨ He'll make you laugh with his big personality!
✨ He will fulfill your ladies' special needs in a way that nobody else can!

As a flightless domestic duck, Richard needs a safe and secure area (such as an aviary or run) during the daytime when not directly supervised. During the nighttime, he needs a fully enclosed coop to be safe from predators. We also ask that our adopters have access to an avian veterinarian in case of illness or injury. No pond? No problem! Domestic ducks do much better with kiddie pools that can be scrubbed and refilled regularly for their health.

Nowhere near Pennsylvania? Also not a problem! We do long-distance transport for loving duck homes regularly. Please still get in touch and fill out an application if you'd like to be the lucky adopter of a rescue duck!

New duck caretakers, or experienced flock guardians, we provide support and guidance 24/7 for life. Please adopt a duck so that we have the space to rescue another one in urgent need!
