My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INDOOR ONLY HOMES PLEASE

Vegas was dumped at a park in Las Vegas known for frequent rabbit dumping. He was rescued in early December 2023 by a Las Vegas rescuer. I met her in the middle of the night in Barstow where she handed Vegas off to me.

Vegas is curious, energetic, brave and playful. He is always eager to exit his bunny bungalow to have expanded roaming time when it is his turn. He loves jumping on the couch or chair to see what I'm doing.

He is super easy to pick up. He does not hide from you. He does not play hard to get. He is not fearful, shy or anxious. Additionally, he is one handsome hunk of a bun!

He was neutered on January 8, 2024.

Vegas should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. He can have that as his home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it.

Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.

Vegas can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. Delivery is available up to 100 miles from Lake Elsinore.

PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!

If you are seeking a rabbit as a companion for your existing rabbit, your rabbit should be spayed/neutered. Male/female bondings are usually recommended. See the following link for more information: https://rabbit.org/care/bonding/
